Port 443 from outside firewall.. when have 443 open on a different server? Howto? (ie: use ISA server?) RRS feed

  •

We have port 443 going to a different server, our Exchange server for OWA.. our router doesnt allow for opening port 443 to two different machines at the same time (naturally i guess)..

So in order to setup an edge server.. or use port 443 to this server, via the web, how would I go about doing this?

Does this involve ISA server somehow? (I've never touched ISA thus far)...

    Cheers

  • You'll need to assign an additional public IP address to your router's external interface and then setup a 1-to-1 NAT into the internal IP address of your Edge Access Proxy.  If your ISP limits you to a single IP address then you'd be forced to change to non-default ports for you non-Exchange traffic, which is messy.
