Hello Murhagh,
When installing Vista, the user is asked to enter a Product Key. If the user does not enter a key, it is called a "Keyless Install" and Vista uses it's own default Product Key (for the Version of Vista the user selected). The purpose of being able to install Vista without a Valid Product key is so the user can get a 30 day evaluation period. Once the evaluation period has expired, the user must enter a Valid Product Key to continue to use Vista.
Your Diagnostic Report shows that your Vista was installed without a Valid Product Key. The Product Key shown in your Diagnostic Report is the Default 'Keyless Install' Key used when no valid product key is entered at install. Below are the last 5 digits of the other Keyless Install keys.
Default "Keyless Install" Product Keys
• Business - MRW4W
• BusinessN - QXX44
• HomeBasic - 3V4VD
• HomeBasicN - GFJBT
• HomePremium - 76PKF
• Ultimate - RP8F7
To resolve your issue, you will need to enter the Product Key that came with your copy of Vista. You can do that by clicking the 'Start' button, rightclick 'Computer' and select 'Properties'. A window will come up, click on "Change Product Key" at the lower right of that window.
Thank you,
Darin MS

Hello Murhagh,
If you bought the Vista thru Windows Marketplace http://windowsmarketplace.com as a physical disk, that was shipped to you, then the Product Key was included in the packaging that the disk came in (just as if you had bought Vista ifrom a regular store) If you bought Vista as a Digital Download, then your ploduct key can be found in your Digital Locker. (there are links on the marketplace main page, to assistance with any Order or Digital Locker problems you may have).
If you bought Vista thru the Microsoft Store http://store.microsoft.com as a physical disk, that was shipped to you, then the product was included in the packaging that the disk came in (just as if you had bought Vista ifrom a regular store). If you bought Vista as a Digital Download, then your ploduct key can be found in the Order Information located by logging into the account used to purchase the software. (assistance with any Microsoft Store order issue can be found at http://store.microsoft.com/help)
If you bought Vista as a Windows Genuine Advantage Kit, then the Product Key was sent to you by email. The email was sent to the address you specified when completing the order. (For Windows Genuine Advatage Order support, please see http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/OrderHelp.aspx?displaylang=en it is also suggested that you check your email program's Spam Filter folder in case the Product Key mail was moved there).
If you bought Vista from any other site, please return to that site and contact their Order Support in the manner outlined in the site's Help or 'Contact Us' page.
Thank you,
Darin MS
