My Blogger blog not indexed in Live Search RRS feed

  • Question

  • These days, where everybody somehow accuses monopolies :), I decided to try to be included in search engines not related to the "big one" too, namely I submitted my Blogger blog to Yahoo, got included(indexed 19 pages) and of course to Live search(which pleasently enough is in the top 100 pages greeks visit(alexa) unlike yahoo search ).  And I am thinking to promote these 2 known and other less known engines in my blog, but this is for another discussion.

    I submitted my blog,
     sotostips
a couple weeks ago to the Live Search using web master tools. As a sitemap I included the
    http://sotostips.blogspot.com/
and my robots file looks the same as the other Blogger blogs:
    User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
    Disallow:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /search
    Noindex: /feedReaderJson

    Sitemap: http://sotostips.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=updated
which I can't change in Blogger as I believe.

When I try to validate robots.txt file in webmaster tools I get
    Line #6: Noindex: /feedReaderJson
Warning: MSNBOT doesn't support this tag.
    **************************************************

My blog's summary in webmaster tools lokks like:

    Last crawled: N/A
    Indexed pages: N/A
    Domain score: N/A
    Blocked: No
    Top 5 pages,
Web page,    Page score, Language, Region, Last crawled, Blocked:    No data is available.

What is wrong? Can I do something about it? I saw other Blogger blogs listed in the live search engine like googlesystem.blogspot.com.

As for the xhtml validation, I believe a Blogger blog never can be validated with it's strange code(widgets etc). But my feed(feedburner) validates ok.

  • Hi Chemnomore,

Noindex is a page-level meta tag equivalent to disallow. If you were trying to block bots from /feedreaderjson, I suggest changing your robots.txt to disallow. The reason why information is not showing up in our tools is because your site is not in our index. I have also submitted your site through an internal tool.
