One Care shows as red even though expiration date is 4/10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • The One Care symbol shows up as red even though it is paid through April 2010.  The date on my machine is fine and when I click on the One Care symbol it tells me that the One Care on this machine has expired.  Help!

  • Go to billing.microsoft.com, sign in with the Live ID and password used to purchase your subscription and verify your subscription status. Open One Care and if there is a 'Subscribe" button select it and when asked for a Live ID enter the Live ID and password used to purchase your subscription and One Care should activate. If this does not resolve your subscription status please contact support. If your subscription to OneCare shows incorrect or expired in OneCare

    • Check your PC date and time. If it is incorrect, change it and restart the computer.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.
