Disabling Date stamps in Outlook 2016 Contacts Notes Field RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Outlook 2016. There is an annoying feature in Contacts that I will like to disable. A date stamp is added to the Notes field every time I do anything like copy or move contacts between folders. I do this often so there is an unneeded long list of date stamps in the Notes field of the contacts. How can I disable or remove this automatic date stamping so I could add my own notes

But I don't believe this is the result of any built-in feature of Outlook. More likely, some script is being triggered that adds the timestamps to the notes field. The "Notes" field (on the "Telephones" tab of ADUC) corresponds to the "info" attribute in Active Directory, so the script might reference the info attribute.
