Third time in as many years I am again not Authentic?!?!?!?!?!?! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am seriously over Microsoft. This is the third time in two years and the second time in as many months I am again not authentic. I have done the "save file", I have stopped and started the slsv., I have scanned for Malware, Viruses and everything, Nothing works. I really hate the fact that I again have to re-install EVERYTHING on my system as this takes almost a full day. I have access to my task bar and everythingelse on my system yet my version is not authentic???? The product key that shows in this report is not the one that is on my laptop sticker. (yes I know many manufacturers use a different one from that of the sticker) Yet, when I select the option to enter a new product key it says the one from the sticker is also invalid. What is the deal?

  • I fixed it myself. However it would be really super nice if Microsoft would just fix the validation software instead of giving the same answers every time. Also note that this happened each time right after I did the windows critical updates.........

If you keep on reinstalling using the OEM_SLP key, it will keep on coming up as non-genuine.
There is nothing in the Updates which affects the Key - and your OEM_SLP key cannot activate because it cannot properly read the BIOS.
If you say you've fixed it before, then the key in use should have been the COA_SLP key - not the OEM one.
