crm 4 website not showing

Question
-
Hi,
I have installed and configured crm 4 on a server (seperate database server) a while ago. only recentley has it been used. when it was installed and configured the website worked fine. It does not work, nothing in the event logs. I can even access it locally on the server. I have no idea where to start. This application is awful :-)
could someone try pointing me in the right direction on this?
Thanks

mmmm, if i take the require ssl out of IIS it seems to connect and ask for a user name and password. As soon as i switch back it does not work at all

if CRM was not initially installed with the SSL option then there are a few steps you need to take to enable it. selecting the checkbox is not sufficient. Please see this article for more information.
Also, if you have ssl configured, ensure your URL is https://CRMServer and not http://CRMServer
