TechNet Virtual Lab: QOE Monitoring Server Event ID: 1032367798 - Issues with Lab Functionality after installation of Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have just recently started using Microsoft Technet Labs, and have come across an issue with the above lab.

While Following the Lab instructions/exercises i get to this point:

Following successful installation of Microsoft Operations Manager 2005

    g. Click Start, All Programs, Microsoft Operations Manager 2005, and click on Administrator Console.

This Displays 'Connect to a Different MOM Management Server' box

I Enter QOE (which is the correct name of the server/node) and this displays the following message:

'This server you have entered could not be contacted or does not host MOM data access (DAS). Please enter a different server name.'

I am unable to connect to QOE Node, and thus not able to complete the next step of:

    h. In the MOM 2005 Administrator Console window, expand Microsoft Operations Manager (QOE) node.

and thus not able to complete the Virtual Lab.

Any help would be very much appreciated - Thank you in advance
