How to track number of hits on a website? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I want to keep track of number of visitors on my website. Shall i do this by using a variable of Application class in Global.asax file. But will this variable be able to deal with concurrent accesses by various users.?

Secondly ,do I need to open an SQL connection on every page or can it be done globally , just like a connection string is defined in Web.config file.
