Windows 7 will only boot on safe mode but not on normal mode

Please I need help. My laptop (Dell Latitude D610) running windows 7 only boots well on safe mode but not on normal mode. If I try booting on normal mode, after I put my Admin password, it just hangs for a long time on the "Welcome" and it continues to roll on and on.

I have tried using Last known configuration, no way. I also tried system restore but it says there is no restore option available.

Please help because I dont want to re-install the OS

I always start with the event log. I'd also ask them here.
