Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Support Technician - Advice needed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there, I have been working in IT for a number of years but have ever sat any Microsoft examinations.

I am considering studying for and taking the Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Support Technician examinations and would like to hear from other people who have done the same - how they went about it and what their experiences were?

Specifically, are the online courses any good?  Are the instructor led courses better?  Or am I better off saving my money and doing it through self-study?

  • I used my experience and the books listed on the exam certification resources page and was successful with that exam.  In fact, that is how I have passed every exam from Windows XP -> Windows 7, including the MDT/BDD exams.  The Microsoft Press books are a great resource for learning the material and they also include practice exams.
