One Care Scanner - I can't uninstall it, even after installing the remover tool .... help! RRS feed

    Yes, I am a dumb person.  I installed the One Care scanner on my Windows 7 computer... No, I didn't read the info  that it said before I installed it.  I was looking for a good scanner to check my computer and was in a hurry.  Anyway now, I can't uninstall the thing and I even installed the One Care clean up tool, did what it said.  The only thing the clean up tool seemed to do, was uninstall my Security Essentials.  Which I have just now reinstalled.

    I still have the One Care in my programs list... I can't uninstall it, the tool doesn't work... so now what?  Thanks

    The cleanup tool is for Windows Live OneCare, the full version. The program you installed is an ActiveX add-in for IE. The cleanup tool removes the full OneCare and also breaks/removes MSE, as you've found.
