Sync tables with different schemas (# and names of columns don't match) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody,

    I want to syncronize two tables of two SQL 2005 Server databases. In this scenario the entire schema is different (different # of columns and different primary keys). Is it possible to define which columns match?

    e.g.

    [Users].LastName = [Dudes].FamilyName

    or is there an other way so solve this issue? A tutorial about this topic would be great.

    Thanks
    Philipp

  • Hello Philipp,

    Different table names can be supported through table mapping by assigning global name to each table, but Sync Framework does not support

    synchronization between two tables that have different schema's.

    Thanks,
