Hi, We have an installed version of the Trial OCS 2007 software which has jut unexpected expired. We are actually licensed for a full MSDN version through our Gold Partner status. How do we upgrade from the trial version to our MSDN version without losing the exisiting settings. The offficial document says you can't go from a trial version to MSDN version.

Yes we ended up removing the actual program but left behind the configuration. When we then installed the new MSDN licensed software it worked out that we had an install currently in progress and just installed the apps.
Seemed to work fine even though the doco at the time suggested it couldn't be done this way.
Thanks for following up

So do you know if the MSDN time or feature limited in anyway?
Thanks

All seems fine. Not sure if we get a different version through MSDN as we are Gold Partner.
Hope this helps.

is there any way to tell the number of days left for the evaluation before it expires?
when it does expires, would the OCS services be unavailable to start or some other restriction?
thanks!

The trial version operates for 180 days, so you could check the original creation date on the Program Files directory where OCS is installed, or (if your System Event Log goes back far enough) look for the first instance of the OCS services starting to estimate you trial's expiration date.
