We have an SBS 2003 server and would like to migrate to SBS 2008 on the same hardware. The network is very small at the moment, a couple of work stations and a member server (not a DC) running Server 2008 and Dynamics CRM. We have decided to do a fresh install of SBS 2008 and import the exchange data onto the new OS. My question is this, will the process of joining the CRM server to the new domain cause any problems or break the installation? Ideally I would like to set up the new SBS 2008 server with the same domain name as the old set up so will i have to remove the CRM server and workstations from the old domain and then join them to the new one?
Any help or advice gratefully recieved.
Steve

We intend to backup the exchange database and sql on the current sbs 2003 server, install sbs2008 on the same hardware and import the data back in to the new setup. CRM is on a seperate 2008 server that is not a DC. THe network is small so we dont mind rebuilding the AD. I just want to make sure that this process does not affect the CRM setup and that there is nothing else we are overlooking.
