  • Simple answer, No. Microsoft will only allow access to data via the CRM web services

    You definitely would not be allowed direct access to SQL Server in the cloud.

     

    There are a number of other limitations, no custom workflows, plugins with some restrictions.

     

    The SDK does allow you to interact with the database.

     

    Why do you need direct access to the SQL server?

    Hi,

    we are a Microsoft BI partner. When you think of a DWH solution it is necessary to collect data from different LOB applications. In this case the scenario is relevant.
