Adding a Windows 2008 Application Server to a Windows Server 2003 domain infrastructure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey,

I currently have a Windows 2003 Server Active Directory domain infrastructure in place at a client's site.  I have two (2) servers and 35 clients on the network.  The servers are Dell PowerEdge 2850 - OS - Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition R2 and the clients run Windows XP Professional SP3.  My client just pruchased a new HP ML370 G5 server with Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition installed.  The client wants to use this resource as an application server for the Peachtree Accounting software.  I intend to join this resource to my Windows Server 2003 domain infrastructure as a member server.  My question is, are there any known issues with joining this server to the network?
