CD/DVD Drive not working properly RRS feed

    All of a  sudden I can't access my cd drive when a blank cd is loaded. It still plays cd's & dvd's ok and burns cd's with media player.
    I load a blank cd and get no response and when i try to access it in windows explorer, I get the error message:
    "F:\ Is not accessible. Incorrect function."

    I am still running XP with sp3. I have uninstalled the drive and drivers and re-installed them to no avail. My Money program will no longer access it to burn a backup file.
