Does anyone know how often the 'Windows Server Domain Name Management' service updates the DDNS (xxx.homeserver.com) with the WAN ip address. I use the lights out add-in on my server so it only comes on when I need it (I'm currently working on setting
up the network so I can wake the server over the internet).
If the service updates when it starts, I am thinking I could have the server wake a couple of times per day and set a scheduled task to restart the service to make sure the DDNS has the correct IP.
Thanks,
Dave
