Dell Dimension E310 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm helping a family friend out with cleaning up their Windows XP PC and I came across an issue with their version of XP not being genuine.  They have a Dell Dimension E310. Ran the mgadiag.exe scan and got the below results. I also found their product key sticker on their case and it does not match the "Windows Product Key" listed below.  They said they don't believe XP was ever re-loaded onto the PC.  Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do? Thank you.

  • If the Dell OEM Windows XP product key is for Windows XP Professional, use the Windows XP Product Key Update Tool.  If its for Windows XP Home Edition, you'll have to find the original Dell Windows XP Reinstallation CD and perform a "clean install".
