  • Neyra,

You are very welcome :-). Unfortunatlely the messaging you are receiving is provided as a reminder the software is non-genuine status which can't be removed. In turn it will provide you with a redirect for getting genuine :-). You can order a WGA Kit for $149 which you will receive via email a product key then actual software in the mail. You may use the product key update tool for making the pre-existing non-genuine Windows genuine unless there are so many problems with the existing non-genuine version. In which you would have to await the arrival of the WGA Kit from Microsoft.

Neyra I would work with Lenovo Technical Support and ask how you may order the Recovery CD. Unfortunately you would have to completly reformat the system which will take quite a bit of work but you will have a peace of mind that you are genuine. Right now being in a non-genuine status you really can not be sure of the software bits currently installed on your machine. There could be malware installed along with the non-genuine version currently on your machine.

Hopefully I have been able to help more. If you have more WGA problems please feel free to visit US again :-)

  • Neyra,

Also I noticed Office Professional Edition 2003 is also non-genuine. After further analyzing your MGA diagnostic I noticed your computer is a Lenova. Please contact  contact Lenova Technical Support for assistance. Explain your current situation and request them to send you a Recovery CD  specific to the computer model. Your system should have a Certificate of Authenticicy (COA) sticker located on the system.  This would be the product key you would use after receiving the Recovery CD unless they instruct differently.  Also should you have any questions about how to reformate the Lenova Technical Support should provide you with support as well :-).  Since the telephone number and web sites are not maintained by Microsoft we cannot make any warranty as to their validity.  I have included their contact information here for your convenience:

Take care Neyra and hopefully this will help you become genuine again.

  • Neyra,

Please explain why you want to "How can I delete geunine windows software"?   Did you mean, "How can I delete non-genuine windows software"?  First, Thank you for posting your diagnostic information. We are sorry to hear about the problem your currently experiencing. Diagnostic results help our team in determining the root cause of your issue. The Windows XP Professional Volume product key installed on this computer was not assigned by Microsoft. The key is counterfeit and was most likely generated by a key generator. The product key found on your computer has been detected on multiple computers. Product keys are only allowed to be used on one computer unless otherwise specified in the end user licensing agreement (EULA).   You will find numerous sites where this key has been posted.  Use your favorite search engine and paste in the product key.  Below could be a possible scenario.

There are situations which can cause Windows and Office to become non-genuine. Let me give one example.  Customers have taken in their systems along with all the software received when purchasing their system. The customer picks up the system and viola' no problems whatsoever until they need to download an update or even a template used with MS Office. Suddenly their system is non-genuine. The customer's computer was not installed with their software but either a blocked Volume Licensing Key (VLK) or a keygen’d product key. Also the software could work for several weeks, months or even a year or more then suddenly becomes blocked.

This is why you may be seeing the "Software Counterfeiting" messages on your computer. You will need to uninstall Windows XP Pro before any further complications occur from being non-genuine. As a customer there are several options available for you to get Genuine. For details on the ways to “Get Genuine”, see the web page that outlined your validation failure details or http://www.microsoft.com/genuine .  It will provide all of the possible steps which you can take. Also please review the Validation Advisor for further guidance at:

    https://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/ValidationHelp.aspx

First, if this comes as a total surprise to you, please visit the retailer where you purchased the computer or operating system and let them know the operating system is a counterfeit copy.  Please print a copy of the diagnostic report so you may show them proof for the VLK status. Request they immediately reimburse you and/or provide a Genuine Copy.

Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) is here to help protect YOU, our valued customer. It is important for more people like you, who have become victims, to report piracy @ http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/default.mspx  . Microsoft legal will follow up on all leads provided.  Submitting piracy reports will assist in stopping unscrupulous business practices.  You may be eligible for free software if you have high quality counterfeit discs.

Again, we are sorry to hear about your situation. Please be sure to backup or otherwise offload any data from the hard disk because a clean installation/reimaging will destroy all personal user data on the hard drive. Please don't hesitate re-posting if you need further assistance.

    Thank you,

  • ..hi.. actually, i was experiencing the same as she.., and as with her, i am very distracted with this '____', so much..

i actually surfed the net just to delete this, and as far as I’m concerned, I’ve seen enough of the big numbers of people’s complaints..

And as you.. being part of it, maybe.. I was really hoping that you would help UUUSSS

to provide another software to let us get rid of this.. or maybe some OPTIONS on this software for us to be able to delete and never to complain.. :\

WHY IS THIS PERMANENT??? Really a big question

it’s just some sort of thing that checks Microsofts that were installed.. so I really thought it should not be in our pc FOREVER..!

and also as what you say.., only to REFORMAT is the answer for this, and that it is really uneasy..

(reformatting a computer just for a single software???!!!!)

Why?! you already know that it's uneasy.. yet it's still like this! Is it to put your clients in more difficulties??

    THINK!
