Activation context problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have become severely disabled and control a mouse with head movement. In order to type I use an on screen keyboard. The one I find best is called Dasher. I installed it on my work desktop and it works well. It is running under XP. However, it refuses to work on my work laptop, which gives the error

The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context.

tO TRY AND SORT i HAVE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED ie8 AND SERVICE PACK 3 AND CLEANED UP THE REGISTRY.

    The diagnostic log is below.

  • Hi,

I have tried the Dasher site and they pointed out this error relates to IE installations. As works on one XP machine but not the other then I feel the problem is with the XP installation.

  • Hello, Nigel

This forum is for Windows Genuine Advantage related questions, as you mentioned the error message does appear to be related to Internet Explorer. I would recommend posting on the Answers forum for support: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/InternetExplorer/threads
