How to edit a quote report? RRS feed

    I am currently trying to edit our format for our quote report. We currently have the standard format that you get when run the report from the quote you are viewing. I have gone through customizations with reports and quotes and I have not been able to find out how to customize this. Any help would be appreciated.

    To customized a reports in Dynamics CRM you will need to download rdl file from Dynamics CRM (Reports->mark report->Edit Reports->Actions->Download Reports) and edit it in Visual Studio or other application to create a reports (if you will use SQL2008 I would like to suggest MS SQL ReportBuilder 2.0 which is much easier).

    Is it possible to customize the report in CRM without using Visual Studio?

    You'll need to use Visual Studio to customize the report or create a new custom report.

    if you don't have experience with create a ssrs reports I would suggest you report builder (for SQL2005) and report builder 2.0 (for SQL2008).
