Firewall will NOT turn on

Thank you in advance for your reply/assistance;

I have a newer HP tablet, Pavilion tx2000 Vista with Windows Live OneCare. Since downloading MSN Live and MSN IM last week, the firewall is turned off both by Windows and OneCare. Neither will allow me to turn ON the firewall. I hoped that resoring to a date before this install would correct the problem, it did not. I am, of course, seeking that 'simple' correction.

If that does not resolve the issue with the OneCare firewall, please contact support.

Note that the Windows Firewall is turned off by OneCare, which is why you cannot turn that on.
