Is my eBay copy of windows7 professional authentic ?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • After buying Win7 Pro on eBay I became suspicious of the "ROW Version" on the COA. I soon ran into your forums where some Microsoft gurus used a special tool along with the output of the  MGADT to determine if the OS is genuine or not. I wasted no time loading my copy up (without activating). I still have plenty of time to pursue a refund if need be. Here is my output :

  • From your MGA Report:

    Windows Product ID: 00371-221-5888562-86561

Unfortunately, the Windows 7 Professional edition license installed was pirated from a "not-for-resale" MSDN Subscription license.  Contact the seller and demand a full refund!

You can purchase a genuine Windows 7 Professional license from the Microsoft Store.  You'll need a "Full Version".
