Purchased digital key for Windows 7 no longer valid?

Question
-
I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate. Unfortunately it appears that I was sold a fake copy of Windows 7. In April I purchased a digital key from the Microsoft Website (Order number 8000556384). I followed the various prompts from the messages indicating that it was a fake copy and asking me to go online to resolve the issue, which led me to the Microsoft link where I purchased the digital key. All worked fine until Friday 17 June, when I received a message indicated that the Windows copy is not valid. This key was only used to activate Windows on my laptop.

Hello westerh,
I have check the key listed in your Diagnostic Report and it is showing as Blocked but unfortunately, my Key Information tool doesn't provide any reason for the Block
First thing you should do is compare the Product Key you bought through the Microsoft Online Store with the partial Product Key listed in the above Diagnostic Report (*****-*****-KPWHR-7KVH6-YWPMV).
Do they match?
-If they don't match then it seems you still have the old (non-Genuine) key still in Windows and need to change out the key for the one you bought from Microsoft. Click the Start button and right-click Computer and select Properties. In the window that opens, click the Change Product Key button and follow the directions to change the Product Key to the one you bought from Microsoft.
-If they do match then for some reason, the Microsoft Online Store likely requested that the key be Blocked. I don't know, for certain, why this key was Blocked, but usually key that have been Blocked by the Microsoft Online Store were done so because of a Payment issue of some kind (CC denied, charge back so on) or because the customer requested a refund. Either way, I recommend contacting the Microsoft Online Store for assistance.
Thank you,
Darin MS

Hello Darin
Thank you for your response
The Product Key bought from MS matches the partial key from the diagnostic report. What I don't understand is why the key have worked for 3 months and now suddenly it is blocked.
