migrating crm 3.0

Hello All
I was trying to redeploy crm 3 to another server for dev. I've copied and restored the sql database(2005) on to the new server.
I've ran the redeployment tool.
I copied the org name from the redeployment.
I am trying to connect to the existing database but it keeps popping an error saying no databases are compatible.
I even verified the name of the org in the database and grabbed that name but I can't get past 'connect to an existing database'

actually nvm
I didn't have to map all users. The problem was I was installing crm 4 pro ed for service providers. Think that was the problem. I downloaded crm 3 pro from msdn. worked fine. I've done a redeployment several months ago and I just didnt' remember what steps I actually chose during the redeployment wizard. Thanks for the input anyway.

Did you map all of your users with the redeployment tool? Also, did you name your ORG in the new install EXACTLY the same thing it was in the original? It won't work unless it is exactly the same.Tuesday, July 1, 2008 4:23 PMModerator

I didn't recreate all the users. Do I need to do that? I don't need that done as this is a dev server. The name should be exact. I pulled the name from the database table organizationbase
