Charter Certifications? RRS feed

  • Question

  • 70-686 (released November 20, 2009) is still less than six months old. It turns six months on May 20, 2010. I took the exam yesterday and today saw the details on charter certifications(!) today. I'm kind of racing to take the Prereq exam (70-680) eight business days before the 6 month date so that I could have the seven possible business days needed for it to appear on my transcript in time for me to order the cert before may 20th.

My question: Do charter certifications still exist? I am doing this entirely on faith and scrambling to take an exam on Monday just to hope for the chance at a charter cert.

This is what I have found so far:

    http://borntolearn.mslearn.net/btl/b/weblog/archive/2009/06/20/certificates_2D00_and_2D00_cards_2D00_faqs_2D00_and_2D00_flas.aspx

and the information on the MCP page that simply mentions charter certifications being earnable within six months of the exam being released.

I called the MCP support line and was told I would get an answer by next week, but I'd have to take the exam monday to even have a chance, so I'm trying my hardest to get an answer soon.
