Error when trying to save a new appointment in CRM 3.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • After the implementation of Hotfix(SQL Server 2005) "http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912732" and the Rollup 3, this  following message appears when trying to save a new appointment in Microsoft CRM 3.0: Error of SQl Server. Please contact the administrator, but I had tested the installation of these upgrades in the test environment and not presented the same problem. How to solve this problem? I need the benefits of hotfix because of other problems.

  • I believe users will need at a minimum, Append and Append To rights at the business unit level on the Calendar.  If a Sys Admin Role can make the change, then it is most likely a rights issue.

  • I would probably open up a case with Microsoft, see if there is a bug with rollup 3.  They pulled the original rollup 3 and re-released it due to some issues with it.

One thought, do all users see this error, or just some?  One thing that some people may not know is that you cannot create appointments in CRM 3.0 unless you have read access to the service calendar (even if you do not use the service calendar).

  • This problem affects all people. The users have the read access on service calendar.

    Thank you.
