    What is its cost in India for Desktop computers?

  • ya probably we get it with lenovo laptops....not heard any other brands giving blu ray support

  • Blue ray was released in India by Sony with their high end laptop. I had been to Sony World to have a look at it and the laptop costs 1,10,000 with carbon body. Apart from that the configuration actually SUCKS. It had the configuration of a 10000 rs desktop computer today.

    What I would recomend is to wait until the Blue-Ray and HD-DVD is standardized. Once it is stanadadized and players are available in market which can play both Blue-Ray and HD-DVD, prizes will definitely come down. One such player was showcased at CES 2007 at Las Vages and it costs $2000, around 60000 INR. So its better not to hurry to buy one right now.

  • It have reached India but the player for which is very costly
    Now in india there is only one player which can play blu-ray dist
    its samsung DS500
    It can play both blu-ray and hdtv discs
    But the cost of which is 50,000
