How does my SONY VAIO now display as an Asus Laptop.

  I have owned my VAIO for many years running Windows 7 all working well. Then support stopped for Wind.7 so I up graded it to Windows 10. Worked well for a bit but became very slow. I the purchased an Asus VivoBook 17, running the same Windows 10 system ??.  Now when I turn my Sony VAIO on it displays on the screen as being an Asus laptop. The screen image is distorted and any feature or OOO's have become oval and egg shaped. How can one computer ( Asus ) dictate and alter the Sony VAIO telling it to work as an Asus laptop? What is the cause, how can it do it and how do I correct it?
