Sorry to be almost 2 years with this, but I just ran across this thread!
"Sync Deliverables" will make the SharePoint Deliverables list in the Project Workspace correspond to the defined deliverables in the PROVIDING project, names and dates. Not sure what happens to deliverables only defined in SharePoint, but think they
might be deleted. So, in essence, this operation is "Project --> SharePoint".
"Sync Dependencies", on the other hand, CHANGES the SELECTED dependent tasks in the CONSUMING project to "sync" with the dates in the PROVIDER project SharePoint list. Depending on the scheduling mode, different things happen. BTW, there is no "undo"
for these two operations!
A "Manual Schedule" dependent task will have Start/Finish dates changed to match the Deliverable dates, and the Duration re-calculated. You have an option to "respect the links", but the original duration is lost.
An "Auto-schedule"dependent task will have a constraint added, depending on the relationship of the dependent task dates to the Deliverable dates, with the possibility of a Start OR Finish date changing. I'm just now in the process of working
up a table that lists all the possibilities, and the resultant effect on a dependent task.
