Windows 7?

Question

Hello,
This might sound a little odd, in a Visual Basic Forum - is anyone using Windows 7?
I would like to ask, is Windows 7 is able to allow me to use Visual Basic 6, and if so, what edition is it?
Could anyone help?
Thank You
Ian :)

I think so, but a solution to this if you have a professional version of Windows 7 and download and use WindowsXpMode, install vb6 on a virtual machine with VB6 and XP compatible, but for more assistance you can ask for support forum dedicated to vb6 , see the following link.

Ian,
This is an Visual Basic Express edition forum.
A versions which is much more powerful than VB6 and even free to use and to deploy (which is even not for the VB6 learning edition).
Try for Vintage VB the link given by Carmelo
(Be aware VB Express has no problems running on Windows 7 either in 86 or 64 mode.)
Success
Cor

Hi Ian,
Welcome to the MSDN forum.
This queue is Visual Basic Express edition forum. I’m afraid that your topic about VB6 is unsuitable here. For better support, I will move this thread to off topic forum. Please follow Carmelo’s redirection and post your thread to the correct forum.
Sorry for any inconvenience and have a nice day.
