how to check an email is registered or not RRS feed

  • Hi,

     

    Before submission a record to CRM I need to check whether a particular email is already registered or not under an account in crm4.0.  Using WCF I need to check this. I have a GUID and the email. Can anyone please tell me how to achieve this.

  • Can write a duplicate detection rule on account entity email id attribute

    or

    Write a plugin on create of account to check duplicate. CRM sdk has lot of example for plugin see http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=38
