  •

I bought HP notebook with uploaded Windows XP with a sticker showing genuine Product Key and every at the base of notebook; I asked local vendor to make partitions in hard disk and that stupid person uploaded a counterfeit product in my notebook, since then I'm getting a message that my Windows is not genuine, I tried to fix the problem by going to Microsoft's website and entered my genuine Product but the uploaded XP doesn't accept it. I have tried everything but failed, even discussed with live chat person on Microsoft website but they can't help me because I'm not in their country. (Thats pitty).

Is there anyone in this world who can help me?!!!!!

Please note that the Windows Product Key Update Tool can only be used if you have the same version of Windows XP as the installed non-genuine version.  For example, if there is a non-genuine version of Windows XP Professional installed on your computer, you can only use the Windows Product Key Update Tool if you have a valid Product Key for Windows XP Professional (Full Version...not an Upgrade Version).

If you have a valid Product Key for Windows XP Home Edition, then the Windows Product Key Update Tool is not going to be of any use to you and a "clean install" of Windows XP Home Edition would be required.
