MS CRM 2011 ONLINE - Sync emails to CRM automatically using Outlook Client RRS feed

  • Question

  • How this should work. I am using Outlook Client, not Email router.

If I send email from CRM, it first goes to my Outlook and leaves from there. Then If somebody answers it, the answer mail comes back to my Outlook. But then I need manually track or set regarding it if I want to get the answer mail back to CRM.

I thought in this case it comes to my Outlook and when Outlook syncs with CRM, it goes to CRM.

So what is the correct way to get emails straight to the CRM without manually tracking or set regarding when using Outlook client?

In CRM diagnostics there are all crosses checked.

  • Hi,

If the outgoing email was tracked in CRM then so would the incoming response email. You will need to set your email tracking options correctly inside your personal options. I suggest tracking all emails to CRM leads, contacts and accounts.

The problem is that I don't want to track all the emails to CRM. I should know which option affects to which.

  • You can set the tracking option under personal options to only automatically track emails in response to CRM emails.

What this means is if you manually track an outgoing email, and then someone replies to that email, the reply will automatically be tracked in CRM. If you had not tracking it in CRM, then the reply will not be tracked automatically.

    Hope that helps
