Outbound call using SIP URI example… RRS feed

  • Question

We are trying to make an outbound call using a SipUriTelephonyAddress rather than a phone number and are getting an “Application Error 50000”.  Using WireShark to view traffic we see we are only sending out TCP rather than SIP packets therefore our SIP Proxy Server (SPS) cannot capture this and do the required TCP to UDP bridging.  We do not know if this is correct OCS telephony behavior and believe what we are seeing is an application error rather than a problem with our SPS or the OCS Speech server.   We are confident that the OCS and SPS work because we can successfully handle inbound calls.  So if anyone knows where a Workflow example exists, code frag, or any other working example/test call of using an outbound SIP URI is it would be much appreciated so that we could test with something known to work.  Cheers.

  • Try checking the sample applications that come with the SDK.  Outbound calls are demonstrated by CustomOutboundCall, OutboundCalls, Survey, ConcertsSansFrontieres, and others.
