I am jumping in to obtain the MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Application certification. I am unemployed and returning to IT after a 10 year hiatus. I need an excellent and intensive/accelerated classroom setting. Through Google I saw programs at Portland State University and Austin Community College. I am free to relocate and as I stated have a lot of free time. I think this certification might be a little over my head, but I think in the long run I will benefit more, if I can withstand the initial head spinning. So that is why I lean towards the off-line preparation rather than the on-line. I can always supplement with on-line resources. Even a tutor could suffice for the classroom.
