Extend Volume of Local Disk C RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have been browsing the net for quite some time now and I just cannot find what I am looking for. So the thing is I want to extend my C drive and I got this far:

For some reason no matter what I do, Windows will not make the Extended Volume option available. It is grayed out all the time. I found some topics that I think may contain the answer but they didn't provide accurate answers because my computer skills are minimal. One of them was whether I had administrative rights on my account. If you can tell me how to check if I have rights and if I don't tell me how to do it. The other one was that the C drive that I want to add space to must be next to the unallocated one. I tried to move it by dragging it(didn't have high hopes for that) and all sorts of way but it just sits there.

    Thank you in advance guys!

P.S. Pictures would be most appreciated!
