switching microsoft from desktop to laptop - genuine copy issues RRS feed

  • Question

  • My friend switched everything I have from my desktop to my laptop, including Windows because the desktop had a virus and I wanted to use a laptop anyways, now Windows is saying it's not valid, but it's the version that came with my desktop, how do I get it to work on my laptop now? It's gone - everything's gone - from my desktop and I don't know how and don't want to switch it back. I have the original CDs that came with the desktop but don't think there's a Windows CD in there.
