Difference between ProjectOwner and ProjectManager RRS feed

    i see 2 very similar fields in MSP_EpmProject_UserView: 


    what is the difference between those?

  • Hi Tatiana,

    The project manager name is a property located in the backstage menu file/info/Advanced properties in MS Project. This is a common dialog box and property for all Office documents and not specially related to Project. This is by default the project Creator name.

    Project owner is a Project Server property which you set while creating the project in the PDP. This is by default the user who creates the project but you can change it afterwards. Note that only users with the proper permissions can be set as project owners. With the Project Server permission mode, it give to the project owner read-write access to the project.
