  • Hello Qte4u73,

I am not seeing any Non-Genuine issue in your Diagnostic Report.  It's possible that the issue was just a momentary error.  The problem is that Vista needs 1 to 2 reboots to reset itself after a Non-Genuine error (even if the error only last a sec or so).

The first thing I recommend is that you try rebooting once and if the Non-Genuine issue is still there reboot again.

If after two reboots Vista is still showing a Non-genuine error, try the below steps:

    1) Open an Internet Browser window.
    2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
    3) Find the file CMD.exe
    4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
    5) Type: net stop slsvc  (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
    6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
    7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    9) Type: net start slsvc
    10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
    11) Restart your computer twice.
    12) You will be required to enter the Product Key and possibly to re-Activate. Please be sure to use the Product key listed on the sticker located on the side, bottom or (for some laptops) in the battery compartment of the PC.  In addition, if you need to Activate, please use the By Phone method.

    Thank you,
