Cannot delete sample data in CRM 2011 Online RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I am currently testing the CRM 2011 online version that was just released, but I receive an error when deleting the sample data. 

    My configuration is a new account, from the canada (english) version. Somebody has the same thing with an Australian account.

    It's trying to find something on the E drive... sampledatamap.xml in the directory langpack\4105

  • Hi,

    For those not in the US, set your Locale to English (United States) via Settings->Administration->System Settings, then proceed with the step outlined by Donna, and the sample data will be removed in the background. Once removed, set your Locale back to your Country/Language. Hope this helps!

  • I am having the same issue trying to remove sample data from CRM 2011 Online trial setup.  Have you gotten anywhere with this issue?

  • As far as I know, it is a known issue at this time. I raised it with the CRM product group on Sunday but I haven't had a response and I haven't raised the issue with CRM Online Support yet. The issue did not occur in the release candidate, so I'm sure if it's a new bug it will get resolved soon. In the meantime, you will need to manually delete the sample records as required.

    you can delete the sample by selecting Workspace > Imports > Select them all > Delete All Records Imported to this Entity During This Import.

    This worked for me.

  • I just tested deleting the sample data from my CRM Online Org and was able to delete it successfully.
