Problem with Outlook Email RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    Hello,

    I made a workflow that launch when one lead is assigned from one user to another. It takes the url of the lead and paste it in the email. This is needed for the customer to open the lead easily.

    My problem is that when I get the mail send from the workflow the url is separated after the 75 symbol.... I took the string url and it does not contain any spaces...I tried to put it in "<a href.....>" but it didn't help.

    So if anyone has any idea, please write. Thank you in advance for the provided help.

    Best Regards,

  • My understanding is that the url needs to be dynamic, if you paste to the email body, it might not work. You probably should check out Business Productivity Workflow Tools accelerator, which can help you construct URL and email links correctly.

  • I get the correct url... there is no problem with that. The problem is that no matter what I try to do, when it get to the outlook it's cut after the 75 symbol.. Here is an example:

    http://cmr4/BalkanServicesLtd/sfa/leads/edit.aspx?id={B4CBD43F-294D-DF11-9FF
    0-000C29D01BEA}

    The first line is like a link in outlook, I can click on it and everything.. but I can't understand why the second row is there and not attached to the first line. I try to put it first in one attribute in the CRM , then in two attributes ( varchar 200 ) and no luck...

    Please if anyone got info about this, post it .. Thank you!

  • The reason for this could be, the email was transmitted in plain text format. Maybe this knowledge base can help you.
