  • How can I set a default starting point in MS Streets and Trips 2011?

  • From memory:

    Open a new map, zoom in to your desired starting point, as desired. File, save as, filetype template, filename "new north american map".

    Personally, I always liked to save the original "new north american map" with a different name just in case I needed to go back to it.

  • In addition to the reply above, I would suggest you look at the free download add-on called Streets and Trips Keys:  see http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/4582-new-s-t-keys-2011-official-release-version-available.  One of the features available in that application is the ability to define a 'home' address as well as a list of favorites without altering your template file.  Then, you can navigate home with one click.  This neat little application does a lot of other things to make use of S&T easier, especially on the go when you may not want to enter too many keystrokes.
