When authoring a new thread in the forums we are invited to tag it with "Descriptive Tags". This is a nice, useful feature but it does suffer from "tag bloat" i.e. Tags that are so similar that they really should be the same (e.g. "ActiveX" and "Active-X" is one that I have just witnessed).
So, here's a suggestion. When someone is typing a tag give them a list of already submitted tags (in a similar manner to how Google Suggest works) so that the tag cloud is kept smaller and "tighter" (for want of a better word).
Taking the idea further, how about sizing the suggested tags appropriately according to how often they have been used.
