    Hi!

    Besides the client installation available through Live Desktop client download link, is there another place where I can download a newer client? I would prefer to have a client installation that does not require UAC as I suspect there could be a problem when I install version 14 and then upgrade to 31 and disable UAC. The version on Live Desktop is 14.

    The only download available is the one that is available from "add a device" via www.mesh.com when you've logged in.

    The requirements for having UAC turned on were removed last year - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/LiveMesh/thread/ed5676d9-59a4-4203-9191-d7f0d72f467b

    Stephen, that's what I'm saying. The only download available is the one on mesh.com and that one is build 14, which requires UAC turned on. Where are the installation packages between 14 and 31 (the current version)?

    I am trying to reinstall Mesh client but it does not work at all. Hence I'm using DropBox again until the issue with constant upload and/or reinstallation is resolved.

    I haven't installed fresh in a while, but the latest version should be the one you get when you download from the main site. When the new version is released, the old versions are retired and are no longer available. There may be a case when the installer is from the older version, but when installation proceeds, the new bits are installed.
    have you filed bugs for your two reported issues?

    there have been a few other reports of "constant" uploads, but I've never personally seen it happen. I'm sure that the developers would like more data on this problem.

    Hi Stephen,

    Yes, I've posted an issue for constant upload. Now I'm waiting for some feedback on that. For the client installation I haven't yet. Maybe I should do that now.
    I have manually removed the registry entries and files. I may try to reinstall it when I have some more time. Usually, whatever I try to do with the installation these days, I get tons of errors.
