Wait condition on WF RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to create a workflow that checks a condition 10 minutes after the Incident has been created. We use an integration with an oracle product and I want to alert the user that a field has not been updated.

    Either the WF triggers right away and checks for 10 minutes and if the field updates, then it's done and if it doesn't then it sends an email

    or

    Waits 10 minutes, then checks.

    What is the suggested way to do this?

  • You can use the Wait Condition in the crm workflow.

    In options for automatic workflows, click the Start when : Record is created checkbox to enable it if it is not already.

    Then to add the 10 minute wait....

    Add Step->Wait Condition->Condition<Click to continue> in the added line
    Select in the boxes -> Workflow - Timeout - Equals - (Last box is what the form assistant fills out) should give {Minutes:10}
    (In the form assistant pane) Select 10 in the minutes box and duriation in the next box(is default before).

    This should give you the 10 minute wait, press Save and close.

    Then back in the workflow select the line below where you clicked Condition<Click to continue>, Select this row and click Add Step.->Add Step-> Send E-mail, fill out what you want the email to do, and have the recipient as the owner of the incident.
