Dear Participant,
Hope you are having a great time participating in the contest. This
is a first of its kind student oriented initiative and together we can
make it an immensely learning experience.
Over
the past few days we have received a lot of mails and seen your posts
on our Forum, suggesting various improvements and seeking
clarifications on certain aspects of the contest. We have tried to
answer them on a case to case basis however for the benefit of all of
you, would like to reiterate certain points through this mailer.
Points for Quiz, Academic Project Program, Imagine Cup and Forums:
Points for the activities performed by you during the month of February
2007 (for activities performed till Feb 25th 2007) shall be updated and
live in your profile by the end of day. The next updation of points for
all next level activities on Academic Project Program, Imagine Cup (eg
reaching the India finals, as and when that happens), Forums (monthly)
and Quiz (if any held during March) will be updated on a monthly basis
in the 1st week of the successive month.
Referral Points:
Referral points will be added real time once the friend referred by you
joins the contest. Please note that the friend being referred by you
should use the same URL for registration which is sent to him in
referral mail. If the same URL is not used for registration, points
can’t be added real time. In this case points will be added at the
end of the month.
Posting of Announcements:
Most of the announcements which seem to be non-academic / meaning less
have been deleted and points credited for such announcements have been
reverted accordingly. This will be an ongoing activity. An upper cap on
the number of announcements that can be posted by any user per week has
been put up.
Feedback on the contest:
There are few queries on how to give feedback about the contest. You
can send your valuable feedback about the contest to the E-mail address
specified in the Contact Us section of the site. Your suggestions and
comments will help us to improve the contest.
Webinar / webcast:
When ever a Webinar / webcast are launched by Microsoft you will be
intimated by Administrator Announcements and the links for the same
will be provided in the site.
Features coming soon (by 2nd week of March):
- Knowledge
Base: Registered users can post a white paper / technical article on
the site. Students can download and rate the articles.
- Points Redemption: You can redeem your points against the gifts available.
- Community
Page: Community page will be provided where you can see the list of all
students who are registered in the contest along with their rank and
contact details.
We will be sending a detailed mail on how to use the above features before they are made live.
Just
one request...please make full use of this platform to learn from each
other and from what Microsoft has to offer, rather than for just
earning points. Activities like posting junk messages to earn some
points shall not be beneficial for you as well as the community.
We
will keep posting updates about the contest regularly. This contest is
a learning experience for us as well and your feedback will
continuously help us to improve the program. Wishing you success...!!!!
