    How to set up Money 2004 on PC with Sunset on Laptop to share external backup files

    I have a PC with MS Money 2004 Ver.14.0.120.730 which works fine. Have new Dell laptop with Money Sunset and want to be able to backup and restore files from one to the other via USB Mem stick, for instance when on extended holiday. Should I uninstall the PC's Money 2004 and download Sunset to it?

    Will the US Sunset even read my Money 2004 files?

    I don't need any connection with my bank, just to run on the computers. Both machines are running Windows7 Home.

    If your Money 2004 is a US version, Sunset should be able to convert your *.mny and *.mbf files to Money Plus Deluxe Sunset. Both computers will have to be running the same vintage of Money to share files both ways.
